Freeze drying is the technology of drying a deep-frozen product in a vacuum below a low temperature. This technique removes water from products while preserving its structure and biological activity, making it ideal for sensitive pharmaceutical products. Therefore, it is widely used in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries to better preserve and protect vaccines, antibodies, medecine and more.

Features

Modular Design

The drying chamber, ice condenser chamber, refrigeration system, and control system are designed as separate units. The modular design makes installation and maintenance easier and faster. LAB1ST also provides on-site installation, training and maintenance to greatly save your cost and time.

Automatic Control

Precise and automatic control is a key factor in drying heat-sensitive pharmaceutical products. LAB1ST freeze dryer features a color touch screen, a PLC controller and a PID controller. All critical process parameters can be precisely controlled and monitored real-time. It can also be controlled remotely by apps on mobile phone.

High Efficiency

Samples can be pre-frozen directly within the chamber. The drying chamber and cold trap are designed as separate units to enhance drying efficiency and significantly reduce drying time.

The FDI-P series freeze dryer developed by labfirst scientific combines compact design with stable and high efficient freeze drying. It is available in 12 different configurations, with shelf areas going from 1m² to 50m² and ice condenser capacities ranging from 20Kg to 1000Kg. With its multiple options, cutting-edge technology and unique design, it addresses demands in R&D, pilot scale and industrial scale freeze drying. It is the optimum tool to standardising and optimizing process development.

  • The double chamber design, which can be closed off, facilitating cleaning, material handling, and pressure testing.

  • Ice condenser can be cut off with intermediate valve to run pressure rise tests or to load and unload during defrosting.

  • The shelves have the same dimensions, making operation easier.

  • Heated by silicone oil to ensure uniform drying across all trays.

  • Stainless steel chambers makes cleaning easier.

  • Compressor overheating, overcurrent, overload protection; fan overheating protection; low water protection.
